I am officially 282 days away from saying “I do!” I have checked a few of the big things off the list, but I can’t forget about the little details that go into making this time of my life even more magical than it already is! I am going to New Orleans in a couple weeks to check out the venue, take engagement photos, and meet with our caterer for a tasting (probably what I am most excited about)! Although this is a “work” trip, it’ll feel amazing to get a little break from school and time to focus on the wedding a little before rotations start.
Everyone knows the old saying, “Something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue.” Unfortunately, the wedding checklist is not that simple anymore. So here are a few of my favorite things that I have come across while planning the wedding.
Invitations: First impressions are everything, and the introduction to your big day is no exception. Choosing an invitation is so important because you are setting the mood for the ceremony and reception. This is your guests’ first peak into the style of the event. It is important for me to find an invitation that not only reflects Baxter and I, but also the wedding. These elegant wedding invitations by William Arthur are beautifully crafted, timeless, and simple. These invitations will leave your guests’ excited about their new "fridge art"! Online Registry: Make it easy for people to shower you with gifts 😉 There are so many online registries out there, but I have found Zola to be my absolute favorite online wedding registry! It makes registering a unique experience for us and our guests’. Zola has an endless collection of gifts, experiences, and funds. You could seriously ask for everything!! And to make it even better they have an app so you can easily keep up with your registry from your phone. You have the ability to update on the go whenever, and wherever you like!
Beauty: This is one of those “little details” that you do not want overlook. Along with wedding planning comes all of the travel and parties. With the wedding right around the corner my skin needs to be on its A-game. With some help from Renew Me: Restoring Serum my skin has been at its best despite the long stressful weeks leading up to boards and the tiring hours spent traveling. One of the trips I am most looking forward to is the bachelorette party. While it isn’t for another few months, I am so excited about getting together with my gals in Palm Springs. A big part of getting bikini ready is keeping unsightly (and uncomfortable) ingrown hairs at bay. Smooth Me: Ingrown Hair Serum has kept me worry-free this bathing suit season. These are two products by European Wax Center that I find extremely important in the bridal prep process to stay both smooth and flawless! Also, let's talk setting spray. Seven words: engagement photos in New Orleans in June. It is going to be hot and humid and I want to make sure my makeup isn't going to slide right off my face. I am loving the Algenistsetting spray for days where I know I am not going to be able to retouch my makeup. (Use code BabbleBox15 for 15% off)
Undies: Super random, but lately I have been wanting everything white and light blue. I have not come up with my colors for my wedding yet, but I can see a trend 😉 I love Hanky Panky Thongs because they are so comfortable and pretty. The best thing of all is no VPL (visible panty line). There are so many things to be thinking about during this planning process, so the last thing I want to be worried about is panty lines and uncomfortable underwear. The Cross-Dyed Low Rise one of my favorites! It’s delicate lace and low rise is perfect for any outfit! (Free Shipping on all orders within the contiguous U.S. Enter code at checkout BBOXX17)
