Saying 'YES' to the Dress

I did it! I said 'YES' to the dress!...within 24 hours of saying 'YES' to Bax! Yep, you read that right. I went and bought my dress the very next day. I still can't believe I did it, but I have zero regrets :-) I have always dreamed about my perfect wedding day, but never knew what kind of dress I wanted. I think I have watched every episode of "Say Yes to the Dress" on TLC, and I just love so many things about so many different styles. I honestly thought I would never be able to choose the perfect dress.
The day before we got engaged, my friend Molly and I were walking around Chicago, doing a little shopping, and passed Dimitra's Bridal Boutique. I jokingly turned to Molly and said "let's go in and play dress up!" [I still laugh at the silly things I said when I had no clue he was about to pop the question] We had dinner plans so we didn't make it into the store that day. The next day, after the big (amazing) proposal, Molly and I snuck off to Nordstrom's to try on a few dresses. Y'all, I hated everything. I was terrified that I would never find one I loved. Over dinner that night, I mentioned that I had fallen in love with a bridal designer after I saw photos from her show during Charleston Fashion Week a few months back. We looked up the designer, and only ONE place in all of Chicago sold her dresses...Dimitra's! Molly called as soon as they opened the next day, and they happened to have a cancelation and got us in within the hour. I started telling my consultant what I liked and didn't like, and mentioned that I loved this one designer. Guess what! They were having her trunk show there THAT DAY! They had her entire line, and I called my dress out by name. It was meant to be. I put it on, and immediately face-timed everyone in my family. There were tears, I was sweating (TMI, but I was freaking out), and it was just perfect. I tried on other dresses just to be sure, but there was no way I was ever topping this one. I wish I could wear it everyday! I am so in love, and I can't wait for everyone to see it on my big day!
I am keeping my dress a secret, but here are some different styles for the modern, boho, and traditional bride that I love!
