Better Late Than Never

Y'all, I must have totally missed the whole "new year, new you" thing because I went with more of a " new year, let's eat everything in site and binge watch RomComs and Law and Order all day, everyday." I may or may not be watching Law and Order as I write this...and there might be some ice cream involved, too. So I am thinking it is time to get it together. Better late than never, right? With boards coming up in June, I really need to put my health (body and mind) higher on my priority list. I spend countless hours sitting in class or at my desk each day, and by the time I call in quits on the studying, all I want to do is go home and chill, and probably pick up some T Bell on the way home. I love love love cooking, but I have to admit, Taco Bell is my guilty pleasure.
Now that I have shared all about my current unhealthy lifestyle (don't judge), I am hoping that writing this post will hold me accountable and help me stick to my goals! Here are some of the things I want to focus on:
1. The obvious, getting back into shape! Have y'all been loving any workout plan lately? I have BBG, and am thinking about starting that again. I want something fun, but quick!
2. No more T Bell...unless I get an A on a test. ;-) But in general, I want to cut back on portion size and watch the amount of processed foods I am taking in. I can always tell such a difference in my energy level, my skin, my hair, etc. when I am eating foods that are actually good for me.
3. Stay on top of school work. I have a daily schedule that I am following for board prep, while simultaneously studying for my current coursework. The last couple of weeks, I have found it difficult to juggle both, but I really want to find a way to get everything done so I don't feel overwhelmed come June (when my boards are scheduled). For those who have asked, I promise to write a post about how I prepared for boards after I take them! :-)
4. Maintain balance. All work and no play is never a good idea. When I have gone longer than 3 days without talking to my girlfriends, I know I am getting way too wrapped up in school and need a girls' night! I have been able to juggle a relatively normal[ish] social life up until this point, and I want to continue as much as I can. Same goes for spending time with Bax and Rosie! I don't know how I would have made it this far without my amazing support group!
When life just isn't slowing down, how do you stay on top of things?
**Side note: I recently got these Adidas tennis shoes and I am OBSESSED! I have a super high arch and it is hard to find shoes that have enough support. I am seriously in love.
