Hello 2017! During my holiday break, I also took a little break from the internet. Little, is the key word ;-) I hate how hard it was for me to keep away from my computer and phone, but by the end of break, it was much easier (and much needed). Today, I begin studying for boards. I have the USMLE scheduled for June 5th and the COMLEX scheduled for June 10th. YIKES! While those dates seem forever away, I can't help but get anxious just thinking about them! I plan on doing a post soon with a breakdown of my study plan, and would LOVE to hear from fellow med students what is working (or worked) for them while preparing for step 1. Give me ALL the advice!!
Before jumping back into the real world, I took some time and went through some photos from our trip to Florida. My family is spread out all over the U.S., so every year for Christmas we meet up in Florida. I have always dreamed of a white Christmas, but I am not quite ready to trade waking up to palm trees and sand for the cold, just yet. Every trip to Florida, we spend a day out on Sanibel/Captiva Island. For lunch, we always go to The Lazy Flamingo down on Captiva and then walk to the quiet beach across the street for some sunbathing after. It is so peaceful there and it is the BEST place to find seashells! I have made so many memories on that beach growing up. It will always hold a special place in my heart.
For the first time in a few years, we also made a stop on Fort Myers Beach. These photos were all taken here. It is definitely more of the touristy/party beach, but so fun! Loud music, dancing, and tons of people watching took place on the beach that day. If you missed my snaps, I am sure my sister is grateful ;-) Kristin was definitely the life of the party that day!
Missing my fam, warm weather, and freedom today.
